The Stittsville Chargers Novice A hockey team won the Almonte-Pakenham tournament on Sunday, February 8. In the deciding game,the Chargers exploded for a 7-1 victory over Kanata. The Chargers defeated Gloucester (8-3) and Aylmer (5-0) to reach the championship game.

A 2-hour power outage didn't stop the Novice B (B2) Stittsville Cyclones from winning the B side of the Almonte Tournament on Jan 4th, 2009. Way to go kids! Check out the happy winners here.
The Stittsville Stingers Peewee C1 , living up to their team motto, "Sting or be Stung" went undefeated in 5 consecutive games to win the Championship at the Nepean Minor Hockey Tournament held Dec 12-14, 2008. Every player came out and gave 100% heart and soul. Great job, Stingers!! Check out the team photo.
A big thank you to the SMHA association for giving every player a complimentary picture as a memento of your hockey season. Picture Day went off without a hitch once again and your photos will be delivered soon. If you need a retake, come to the SCC Saturday Dec 13th between 10 am and 12 noon.
At every minor hockey game in our town of Stittsville, you'll see dozens of boys and girls zipping around the ice, slapping at pucks, diving to block shots and dreaming of scoring the winning goal. Most of us take this sight for granted. While these games are going on, another kid from Stittsville is lying in a hospital bed at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto recovering from yet another round of treatments....[More]
