Interested in competitive hockey? Visit the Stittsville Rams', Ottawa Valley Silver Seven's and Ottawa Valley Titans' websites to learn more about their upcoming conditioning and try-out sessions. Don't forget to register with the SMHA before signing up for any of these sessions. Should your child be selected for a competitive team, they will be transferred to the appropriate club by the SMHA, along with your registration fee.

Last chance to return your jerseys is August 3rd, from 19h00-20h00 at Locker 91, Ace Self Storage Facility,  249 Westbrook Rd, Carp.  You won't be able to register if you haven't returned your equipment from last year!  Any questions or concerns about equipment or equipment return, please call Glenn Austin, VP-Operations @ 613-298-4099.

On-line Registration is now open for RETURNING players for the 2010/11 season. Check out the details here.   New Players must follow these instructions or come to Registration Night on August 17th, 6:30-8:30 pm at the Stittsville Legion, located at 1481 Main St.

Registration for RAMS Rep B Conditioning is now open. A Conditioning Camp for all players (House and Rep, from Minor Atom to Major Midget) will be held from August 30th to Sept 3rd, 2010 at the GRC. Cost is $45 and details can be found here.
The SMHA Management Council has many open positions to choose from - one of them is perfect for you.  No experience needed, just a desire to help shape your child's hockey experience for the better.  Check out this list, and get involved - you'll have fun, learn lots and you'll find it incredibly rewarding.
A Child Fitness Tax Credit is available to many SMHA members as part of your annual income tax return. To remind yourself of how much you paid so you claim the correct amount, you can find all the fees on the Registration Fees page.  Revenue Canada does NOT require you to include a receipt with your income tax return. Receipts are only needed if you get audited.  We are not sending out receipts for 2009/2010 registration fees this season but if you are audited and need one, you can request one by completing this form. Please only request one if you need one as these take time to produce and we are all volunteers with day jobs.
We've had quite a few questions lately regarding how ice times are allocated so we've done up an Ice Tutorial. Hopefully it will shed some light on this oh-so-cool subject.  If you have other questions, we'd love to hear them and we'll get you the best answers possible.
