The SMHA coaches vs. Sens Alumni game was a huge success. We had 15 coaches skating on our team, from almost every level in the association and I can’t event tell you how many spectators were in the stands…looking out at it all…they were packed so a big thank you to all of you! It was a huge success; we raised $3364 for the Sens Alumni that night! A big thank you goes out to all of our sponsors and donors and to Adrienne Baxter for all her great work organizing this.
Congrats to the Stittsville Bantam C2 team, who are officially the 2009/10 League Champs, going undefeated through the entire season - a great run.

We've had quite a few questions lately regarding how ice times are allocated so we've done up an Ice Tutorial. Hopefully it will shed some light on this oh-so-cool subject. If you have other questions, we'd love to hear them and we'll get you the best answers possible.

A Child Fitness Tax Credit is available to many SMHA members as part of your annual income tax return. To remind yourself of how much you paid so you claim the correct amount, you can find all the fees on the Registration Fees page. Revenue Canada does NOT require you to include a receipt with your income tax return. Receipts are only needed if you get audited. We are not sending out receipts for 2009/2010 registration fees this season but if you are audited and need one, you can request one by completing this form. Please only request one if you need one as these take time to produce and we are all volunteers with day jobs.
The Stittsville Bantam A2 team won the championship at the Scarborough Youth Hockey League "House League Select" tournament, Jan. 14-17, in a come-from-behind 2-1 win over Oakville - the same team that defeated them 2-0 earlier in the tournament. The final followed an exciting double-overtime 1-0 semi-final win over Willowdale.
7 Bantam teams competed in the tournament, from Oakville, Oshawa, Nepean, Pickering, Scarborough, Stittsville, and Willowdale. Congratulations to the team for their tournament win! Check out the guys here |
