Located just west of Ottawa, ON, the Stittsville Minor Hockey Association (SMHA) offers a range of hockey programs to over 800 young hockey players aged 5-19. Programs are available to all ages and abilities and most run in 4 local arenas including the Bell Sensplex – practice home to the Ottawa Senators. SMHA is a member of District Four (D4) of the Ottawa District Minor Hockey Association (ODMHA), an arm of the Ottawa District Hockey Association (ODHA), which reports to the Canadian Hockey Association (CHA), the governing body of amateur hockey in Canada
The House division, Stittsville Redmen, participates in the Lanark-Carleton League. The Initiation division will organize players for the purpose of developing their skills. The Competitive division , Goulbourn RAMS (Richmond Ashton Munster and Stittsville) participates in the Ottawa District Minor Hockey League at the "A" and "B" level, and SMHA is affiliated with the Ottawa Valley Titans at the "AA" level.
The objectives of SMHA are to foster, improve and perpetuate the sport of hockey; to encourage sportsmanship and fair play among its members; to exercise a general supervision and direction over its players, team and game officials and executive officers with emphasis on the enhancement of healthy recreation, good sportsmanship and citizenship; and to provide equal opportunity for all eligible players within the prescribed Association boundaries to participate in the sport.
