Update on competitive hockey from John Weir, District 4 Chair

To all Members of District 4:

 

• Almonte-Pakenham Minor Hockey Association
• Carleton Place Minor Hockey Association
• Osgoode-Rideau Minor Hockey Association
• Perth Minor Hockey Association
• Richmond-Munster Minor Hockey Association
• Stittsville Minor Hockey Association
• West Carleton Minor Hockey Association

 

With the conclusion of the AAA Pilot Project and the ratification vote on January 30, 2010, the Ottawa Valley Titans MHA going forward will be designated AAA teams only.

• Minor Bantam “AAA”
• Major Bantam “AAA”
• Minor Midget “AAA”
• Major Midget “AAA”

 

As in the other 9 Districts in the Ottawa Minor Hockey Association branch, District 4’s AA/A Association the Ottawa Valley Silver Seven MHA will host in 2010-2011 the following additional levels:

• Major Atom “AA”
• Minor Peewee “AA”
• Major Peewee “AA”

*Until such time where District 5 can host the Major Atom and Minor Peewee levels with  their Upper Valley Aces MHA, they will be allowed to participate within these teams with OVSS, this is going to be reviewed by ODMHA Minor Council on a yearly basis so as to encourage District 5 to be self-supporting.
