This past week-end the Stittsville Ice Dogs played in the 3rd Annual Bell Sensplex West End tournament in division with 16 Atom B Teams.  The Ice Dogs rallied after losing the first game to the Metcalf Jets, winning their next two games to grab a wild card spot in the playoffs. The Ice Dogs met the Metcalf Jets again in the first round of the playoffs, defeating their rivals in overtime during an exciting period of 4 on 4 hockey.

The Ice Dogs then went to the semi finals to meet the Nepean Scorpions, who had shut out all other teams in the tournament. The Ice Dogs outshot and outplayed the Scorpions for much of the game, but narrowly lost 2-1 against a good defensive team with a very good goalie. The Nepean Scorpions went on to win the tournament, defeating their final opponent 3-1.
