The Stittsville Peewee A-1 Team: CHAMPIONS in the Nepean Cobras Tournament on December 1, 2, and 3, 2006.
The Stittsville Peewee A-1 Team “Took Home the Chrome” as undefeated Champions in their recent 3-day tournament at the Walter Baker Sportsplex in Barrhaven. They competed against the Nepean Cobras, West Carleton Warriors, and the Kanata Hurricanes.
In the first game against Nepean Cobras, Stittsville topped Nepean 3-1 with goals going to Colbie MacAdam, Braden Charlebois and Jordi Mady. Assists were made by Alec MacPherson, Colbie MacAdam, and Matt Leclair. They won their second game 2-1 against West Carleton Warriors with goals made by Jordi Mady and Evan Hamilton, and assists by Nicholas Plourde, Jordi Mady, Evan Hamilton and Brad Watson. The third round was against the Kanata Hurricanes. Final score was 9-2 for The Redmen. Goal scorers were Jordi Mady, Evan Hamilton, David Lawrence, Alec MacPherson, Timmy Hickey, and Greg Royer, and assists were made by Evan Hamilton, Alec MacPherson, Braden Charlebois, Mike Egan
Nicholas Plourde, Griffin Hann, Greg Royer, Brad Watson, and Matt Leclair. The semi-final game was against West Carleton Warriors again and Stittsville had a 4-0 shutout. Goals go to Brad Watson, Matt Leclair, Timmy Hickey, and Colbie MacAdam, and assists made by Alec MacPherson, Colbie MacAdam, Stefano Napolitano, Griffin Hann, and David Lawrence. The fifth and final playoff game was against Kanata Hurricanes, and Stittsville, once again, kept Kanata at bay with a 4-1 win. Final goals going to Timmy Hickey, Jordi Mady, David Lawrence and Greg Royer, and assists by Jordi Mady, and Matt Leclair.
