Located just west of Ottawa, ON, the Stittsville Minor Hockey Association (SMHA) offers a range of hockey programs to over 1100 young players aged 4–19. Programs are available for all ages and abilities, and most run in four local arenas including the Bell Sensplex — practice home to the Ottawa Senators.
SMHA is a member of District Four (D4), an arm of Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO), which reports to Hockey Canada, the governing body of amateur hockey in Canada.
If you live in the area shown on this map (under review) and you want to play hockey, you’ll be part of the SMHA.
SMHA’s House division is the Stittsville RAMS, who participate in the Lanark Carleton Minor Hockey League (LCMHL). The Development division organizes the youngest players with a focus on skill development.
The Competitive division, the Stittsville RAMS, participates in the Ottawa B League (OBMHL) at the Tier III level. SMHA is affiliated with the Ottawa Valley Silver Seven at the Tier II ‘A’ & ‘AA’ levels, and the Ottawa Valley Titans at the Tier I ‘AAA’ level.
The objectives of SMHA are to foster, improve, and perpetuate the sport of hockey; to encourage sportsmanship and fair play among its members; to supervise and support players, teams, officials, and executive officers; and to provide equal opportunity for all eligible players within Association boundaries to participate in the sport.
