2026/27 RAMS Competitive Conditioning & Tryouts
Registration for 2026/27 RAMS Conditioning and/or Tryouts for players born 2009 to 2017 is NOW OPEN!!
Competitive conditioning and tryout registration is in addition to SMHA registration.
Please complete the competitive registration form for your player and read the following important information.

Conditioning and Tryout Fees
- Conditioning (optional): $200/player
- Tryouts: $200/player
Payment: Send conditioning and tryout payments to ramsetransfer@gmail.com — include the player name and level in the e-transfer.
There are no refunds for conditioning and/or tryout registration.
Conditioning
Each conditioning group receives 5 hours of ice, which may consist of 4 sessions. U10 to U18 conditioning will begin in September. Schedule will be posted in late August

Body contact clinic
The Body Contact Clinic has been scheduled for September 1, 2026.
*Attending a certified, in-person Body Contact Clinic is a requirement under Hockey Canada rules for players entering their first body checking season at the U14 level and above. If your player has completed a certified session (ex. at another level AAA/AA or in a previous season), then this session is not mandatory.
Tryouts
Tryouts will begin immediately following conditioning sessions. Schedule will be posted in September and may be updated as tryouts progress.
Players must have their applicable SMHA registration fees paid and be in good standing with SMHA prior to stepping on the ice for tryouts.
Tryout Process
We recommend that players arrive at least 45 minutes before the first session to allow time for check-in.
Jerseys
RAMS tryout jerseys will be provided upon check-in and the same jersey must be worn for the entire tryout process. All other equipment is the responsibility of the individual player.
Roster Updates
Tryout releases begin following the 3rd tryout session (2nd for U16/U18). The SMHA website will be updated with a list of players invited to continue, posted by level, jersey number, and colour after each session. Please check the website regularly for updates.
Fees for Players Selected to a Competitive RAMS Team
Players selected for a Competitive RAMS team will owe additional RAMS fees and team fees, in addition to their SMHA registration fees.
- All Team Fees: $500
RAMS Fees:
- U10 & U11: $900/player
- U12 to U16: $950/player
- U18: $900/player

FOR PLAYERS TRANSFERRED TO AA/AAA
If your player’s home association is Stittsville Minor Hockey and they are rostered at a AA or AAA level for the 2026-27 season, a $25 administrative transfer fee is required. This fee is also required for any player seeking to try out for AA at the U9 or U18 level.
